Camp Programs & Activities

Campers enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of art techniques while exploring the natural world. Sketching, painting, nature crafts and Native American traditions will all be employed in this Camp Program. Tie-Dying, that classic camp tradition, will of course be part of the program as well. Please be sure to pack in your child’s luggage at least one article of clothing such as a t-shirt or handkerchief for the tie-dye activity (white cotton works the best). Open to kids ages 9-13.

Let the Games Begin! This program is filled with fun and competitive sports and games. You will learn the rules and how to play a wide variety of games for kids of all skill levels. Badminton, floor hockey, dodgeball, four square, and disc golf are some of the activities you will find at Camp this summer. Bring your game to camp and join in the fun this summer! Open to kids ages 9-13.

If you love camping and the outdoors, this is the program for you. This program will teach you skills to help you better navigate your outdoor adventures. You will be out on the trail hiking and learning about the outdoors and back in camp you will be honing your skills and even cook a meal at the campfire. Open to kids ages 9-13.

STEAM Camp is a new program for campers that want to be creative. Campers will plan, design and build their own creation using their hands, their imagination and materials you can find just about anywhere. They will be scientists, artists, engineers, and campers all at the same time. 

Music Camp is designed for kids who have had at least one year of formal music education and are interested in expanding their music education as well as participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, boating, and campfires. Each day will be filled with practice sessions, lessons, and classic summer camp activities.  Campers will be assigned to musical ensembles based on skill level, interest and music director discretion  Ensembles include concert band, choir,  and jazz. This program will be lead by the Bella Vista High School Music Directors Amanda Lopes and Santiago Sabado. This is a 6 day/5 night program which will culminate with a concert at Camp Winthers on Friday night. Parents will be invited to the concert; families can choose to drive their child home after the concert or the kids can stay for the All-Camp Dance and ride the bus home on Saturday morning. Music in the Sierra is an unforgettable experience your kids will cherish for a lifetime.
